Manual Four-Circle Calibration

"Manual Four-Circle Calibration" automatically calibrates the current image scale by measuring the same standard circle at four designated positions in the image area, using the relationship between the image coordinates and the actual movement coordinates of the worktable.

This method does not require entering a standard circle diameter in advance, and is suitable for a more complete image scale calibration of the current lens magnification.

Steps

After entering the function, 4 indicator markers are displayed in the image area.

  1. Move the same standard circle near the 1st indicator position and complete the measurement.
  2. Move the same circle to the remaining 3 indicator positions one by one and complete each measurement.
  3. After completing the measurements at all 4 positions, right-click to end the calibration.

Calibration Results

After calibration, the software automatically calculates and updates the current image scale, and displays the following results:

  • Reference scale in the X and Y directions
  • Consistency between the X and Y scales
  • Estimated diameter of the calibration circle
  • Current magnification

Notes

  • All 4 measurements must use the same standard circle
  • Each measurement should be aligned as closely as possible to the corresponding indicator position
  • Do not change the standard circle during calibration
  • Recalibrate after changing the magnification or camera parameters
