Data Display
Easson2D supports customizing the measurement content displayed in the data area according to different measurement requirements.
You can hide unnecessary data items and keep only the measurement results you care most about in actual work, making the data area cleaner.
Opening the Output Format Settings
Click:
View → Output Format
to enter the data display settings.
The data items to display can be set separately for different types of measurement elements.
Setting the Element Display Content
Different geometric elements contain different measurement properties.
For example, a circle element can include:
- Center X
- Center Y
- Diameter
- Radius
- Other related measurement data
You can choose which items to display in the data area according to your actual needs.
For example, if the inspection only needs to view the circle diameter, you can keep only:
Diameter
and hide unneeded data such as the center coordinates and radius.
Displaying Tolerance Information
If a measurement item already has tolerances set, you can also choose to display related information, such as:
- Standard value
- Upper tolerance
- Lower tolerance
- Error
- Judgment result
For dimensional inspection work, after enabling this information, you can directly view the relationship between the measured value and the tolerance requirements in the data area.
Conforming and Out-of-Spec Display
Easson2D automatically judges whether a measurement result is conforming based on the set tolerances.
Data with tolerances or out-of-spec results can be displayed in different colors, making abnormal results easier to identify.
For example, when measuring multiple dimensions in sequence, you can quickly find out-of-spec items by color without checking each value one by one.
The related colors can be adjusted in "Element Colors and Display Styles".
Percentage Grading Display
The output format settings also support percentage grading based on how close the measurement result is to the tolerance range.
You can set different display levels and colors as needed, to observe more intuitively how close the measurement result is to the tolerance boundary.
This way, even if the data has not actually gone out of spec, you can pay attention in advance to measurement items that are already close to the edge of the tolerance range.
Usage Recommendations
If a workpiece contains many measurement items, it is recommended to display only the data needed for the actual inspection.
For example:
General dimensional inspection
can keep:
Measured value + standard value + upper/lower tolerance + error + judgment
If you only need to read the measured dimension, you can hide the tolerance and other auxiliary information.
By setting the data display content reasonably, you can reduce irrelevant data and make the commonly used measurement results clearer and more intuitive.
