Viewing Measurement Data
After completing multiple program measurements, SPC Manager automatically accumulates the measurement data of each control item.
You can first select the control item to view in the item list below, then switch between the different data viewing modes using the toolbar above.
Sample List
Click:
Sample List
to view the actual measured value of each sample of the current control item.
The sample list is suitable for:
- Viewing the measurement result of each workpiece
- Finding out-of-spec data
- Comparing variation between different samples
If a measurement result exceeds the set specification range, the software highlights it with different colors:
- Exceeds the specification upper limit: red
- Falls below the specification lower limit: purple-red
Through:
Options → Output Format
you can also choose whether to display information such as the standard value, upper and lower tolerances, mean, maximum, minimum, range, and CPK.
Group List
Click:
Group List
to view consecutive measurement data grouped according to the current sample size.
For example, when the sample size is set to 5:
Group 1: Samples 1–5Group 2: Samples 6–10
Each group displays the corresponding statistical results, such as:
- Mean
- Range
- Median
- Standard deviation
Therefore, this can be simply understood as:
The sample list is used to view each individual workpiece, and the group list is used to view each group of data.
Simple Analysis Chart
Click:
Simple Analysis Chart
to view the variation of the consecutive measurement results of the current control item graphically.
In the chart:
- The horizontal axis represents the sample sequence
- The vertical axis represents the actual measured value
- The standard value, specification upper limit, and specification lower limit are also displayed
The right side also shows statistics such as the mean, maximum, minimum, range, median, standard deviation, number of samples, and number of out-of-spec items.
The simple analysis chart is suitable for quickly observing whether:
- The data gradually becomes larger or smaller
- The fluctuation increases noticeably
- Abnormal values appear
- There is any out-of-spec condition
Deleting Invalid Data
If a sample produces invalid data due to an operating error, improper workpiece placement, or other reasons, you can right-click to delete it in the sample list or the group list.
After deletion, SPC recalculates the statistical results based on the remaining data.
Because deleted data cannot be restored, it is recommended to delete only measurement data that is confirmed to be invalid.
Recommended Viewing Approach
After measuring a batch of workpieces, you can:
Select the control item → Sample list: view individual data → Group list: view group statistics → Simple analysis chart: observe the overall variation
