Crosshair Settings

Easson2D allows you to customize the crosshair display in the image area according to different measurement habits.

You can adjust:

  • The crosshair style
  • The crosshair color
  • The crosshair angle
  • Whether it rotates with the coordinate system

These settings are mainly used to assist positioning and observation and do not change the actual measurement results.

Opening the Crosshair Settings

After entering the crosshair settings, you can select a suitable display mode as needed.

Easson2D provides several crosshair styles, such as:

  • No crosshair
  • Solid line
  • Dashed line
  • Dash-dot line
  • Special line style
  • Horizontal double lines
  • Vertical double lines
  • Star-shaped lines

Different styles suit different positioning and observation needs.

Setting the Crosshair Color

The crosshair color can be modified separately.

If the crosshair is not obvious enough due to the workpiece color, background brightness, or light source conditions, you can choose a color with higher contrast.

For example:

  • Use a brighter color for dark workpieces
  • Use a darker color for bright backgrounds

It is recommended to choose a color that contrasts clearly with the image background for easy observation.

Setting the Crosshair Angle

The crosshair can be set with a rotation angle.

When the workpiece itself is inclined, or when observation along a certain direction is required, you can adjust the crosshair angle to keep it consistent with the workpiece direction.

The angle can be adjusted freely within a certain range.

For example:

0°

means keeping the default direction.

If changed to:

30°

the crosshair rotates by the set angle.

Crosshair Rotation with the Coordinate System

If you enable:

Crosshair rotation with the coordinate system

after establishing or rotating the coordinate system, the crosshair direction also changes accordingly with the current coordinate system.

This function is suitable for measurement scenarios where a workpiece coordinate system has been established and the crosshair direction should always stay consistent with the current coordinate direction.

If this option is disabled, the crosshair keeps its own set angle and does not change with the coordinate system.

Crosshair Blinking Indication

Easson2D can also provide a blinking indication when the crosshair center approaches the edge of the image.

This function is mainly used to remind you that the current crosshair position is close to the edge of the image display range.

If this indication is not needed, it can also be turned off.

Usage Recommendations

You can choose a suitable crosshair mode according to different measurement scenarios.

For example:

  • General positioning: use a simple solid-line crosshair.
  • Observing two parallel directions: select horizontal double lines or vertical double lines.
  • Workpiece has an obvious rotation angle: adjust the crosshair angle, or enable rotation with the coordinate system.
  • Complex image background: modify the crosshair color to improve visibility.

Through the crosshair settings, the positioning guide in the image area can better suit different workpieces and different operating habits.
