Delete Batch Tolerance
Overview
Delete Batch Tolerance removes tolerance settings from multiple element attributes in the Data Area at once. Through the batch deletion dialog, you can flexibly choose the deletion scope to quickly clear existing tolerances. This feature can be used together with Set Batch Tolerance to first clear existing tolerances and then reapply uniform settings.
Steps
Step 1: Select Elements
In the Data Area, select the elements whose tolerances need to be batch-deleted.
Step 2: Open Batch Deletion
Right-click in the Data Area grid and select Tolerance > Batch Delete.
Step 3: Choose the Deletion Scope
Select the scope of dimensions from which tolerances will be deleted. See Deletion Scope for details.
Step 4: Set Scope Parameters
If Select Range mode is chosen, set the start element and end element.
Step 5: Execute or Cancel
- Click OK to execute the batch deletion
- Click Cancel to exit without making any changes
Deletion Scope
You can choose from the following three deletion scopes:
1. All Same-Type Dimensions
Delete all tolerances for dimensions of the corresponding type.
Suitable for cases where all dimensions of a specific type need their tolerances cleared.
2. Selected Same-Type Dimensions
Delete tolerances only for the currently selected dimensions of the same type.
Suitable for cases where only some dimensions need to be modified while keeping tolerances on other dimensions of the same type.
3. Select Range
Specify the deletion range by selecting start and end elements, clearing tolerance settings only for dimensions within that range.
This method is suitable for cases where only a continuous segment of dimensions in the measurement program needs to have tolerances removed.
Use Cases
This feature is suitable for:
- Measurement programs that contain a large number of dimension items with tolerances already set
- Re-establishing a new set of tolerance configurations
- Clearing tolerances for only some dimensions of the same type
- Quickly deleting tolerances within a specific continuous range
This feature can be used together with Set Batch Tolerance to first clear existing tolerances and then reapply uniform settings.
