Origin Translation
Overview
The origin translation feature moves the origin of the coordinate system to a new position while keeping the rotation angle and axis directions unchanged. It is ideal for quickly setting the zero point to a specific location on the workpiece.
Steps
Step 1: Click the Function Button
In the Measurement Bar, click the Origin Translation button.
Step 2: Select the New Origin
In the Vision Area or Geometry Area, select a point element or a feature point of any element as the new origin.
Step 3: Generate the New Coordinate System
After selection, the software automatically generates a new coordinate system with the selected point as the origin. The rotation angle and axis directions remain unchanged.
Notes
- Only the origin position is changed; the axis directions and rotation angle remain unchanged
- The selected point can be a point element or a feature point of any element (e.g. circle, line)
- After completing the operation, use the Work button in the Readout Area to switch to the new coordinate system
