Circle-Line Intersection

Overview

The circle-line intersection feature calculates the intersection points of a circle and a line. After selecting a circle and a line, the software automatically computes the two intersection points and generates two corresponding point elements.

Steps

Step 1: Click the Function Button

In the Measurement Bar, click the Circle-Line Intersection button.

Step 2: Select a Circle and a Line

In the Vision Area or Geometry Area, select a circle element and a line element in sequence.

Step 3: Generate the Intersection Points

After selection, the software will automatically calculate the two intersection points of the circle and the line and generate two corresponding point elements.

Notes

  • Selection order is flexible — you can select the circle first or the line first
  • If the circle and the line do not intersect, the intersection points cannot be calculated
  • The two generated intersection points can be used in subsequent element construction and tolerance analysis
