Two-Line Intersection
Overview
The two-line intersection feature calculates the intersection point of two lines and generates a point element at that location. The two lines must not be parallel, as parallel lines have no intersection point.
Steps
Step 1: Click the Function Button
In the Measurement Bar, click the Two-Line Intersection button.
Step 2: Select Two Lines
In the Vision Area or Geometry Area, select two line elements in sequence.
As with previous element construction features, the selected lines can be previously measured line elements or lines generated through other constructions.
Step 3: Generate the Intersection
After selection, the software will automatically calculate the intersection point and generate a corresponding point element.
Notes
- The two lines must be non-parallel; otherwise, no intersection can be calculated
- Selection order is flexible — it does not matter which line you select first
- The generated intersection point can be used in subsequent element construction, dimensional calculations, and tolerance analysis
