QMS Data Center

Besides saving to the local SQLite database, the measurement database in Easson2D can also upload measurement results to a QMS Data Center server on the LAN through the QMS feature, making it convenient to centrally manage measurement data from multiple machines.

The QMS feature is uploaded by EsBrowser. Local measurement data is still saved to MySQLite.db first, and then sent to the QMS Data Center as needed.

Enable the QMS Data Center

In the related settings of EsBrowser, enable:

QMS Data Center

Then set the current machine's:

Machine name

The machine name is used to distinguish the data uploaded by different measurement devices.

The QMS client and server also need to use the same server name to establish a connection on the LAN.

QMS Server

The QMS Data Center uses a separate:

QmsServer

as the data receiving end.

QmsServer receives the data from different measurement devices and saves it to the server-side database.

Therefore, this can be simply understood as:

Easson2D measurement → Local SQLite database → EsBrowser upload → QmsServer centralized storage

This approach is suitable for scenarios where multiple measurement devices need to centralize their data on one server for unified management.

QMS Mapping Configuration

Before formal upload, you can configure the mapping between measurement items in Easson2D and the names in the customer's system through:

QMS Mapping Configuration

For example, you can map:

Circle 1 → Hole Diameter

or map a certain measurement attribute to the:

Bubble number / Inspection number

on the customer's drawing.

Mapping configuration is mainly used to keep the element names inside Easson2D consistent with the customer's own quality management system.

Upload Measurement Data

After completing the QMS settings and mapping, you can select the measurement records to upload in EsBrowser, and then use:

Right-click → Upload

to send the data to the QMS Data Center.

After the server receives the data successfully, the local record is updated to:

Uploaded

so you can distinguish which data has been uploaded.

Uploaded Data Content

The QMS upload mainly includes measurement data, such as:

  • Element information
  • Measurement attributes
  • Measured values
  • Standard values
  • Tolerances
  • Judgment results
  • Product-related information
  • Machine name
  • Upload time

The QMS Data Center is mainly used to transmit and manage measurement results.

Note that:

The QMS upload does not include measurement images.

Images are still saved in the image directory corresponding to the local database.

Centralized Management of Multiple Machines

If a factory has multiple Easson2D devices, they can upload measurement data to the same QmsServer.

For example:

  • Machine A
  • Machine B
  • Machine C

can all send measurement results to the same QMS Data Center.

On the server side, data from different machines and products can be distinguished by the machine name, material number, batch number, and product SN.

This approach is suitable for:

  • Centralized management of multiple measurement devices
  • Summary of production line quality data
  • MES / QMS data center
  • A unified customer quality database

Relationship with the Local Measurement Database

The QMS feature is built on top of the local measurement database.

That is:

The "Measurement Database" must be enabled first, so that Easson2D generates local measurement records that can be uploaded to QMS.

If the measurement database is not enabled, there are no corresponding local records, and there is no data for QMS to upload.

Basic Workflow

You can use it in the following order:

Enable the measurement database → Complete the measurement normally → Measurement data is saved to MySQLite.db → Open EsBrowser → Enable QMS Data Center → Set the machine name and server → Configure the QMS mapping → Select measurement records → Right-click to upload → QmsServer receives and saves the data

Usage Notes

QMS data transmission is mainly for trusted LAN environments.

Currently, the QMS client and server connect through the LAN, which is suitable for use in a factory internal network.

If a customer only needs to read Easson2D measurement data on a single computer, they can directly read the local MySQLite.db, and the QMS Data Center is not necessarily required.

If multiple machines need to upload and manage data centrally, the QMS Data Center is more suitable.
