Full Magnification Calibration
Overview
Full magnification calibration establishes a unified pixel scale relationship across different magnifications. By performing three-circle calibration at the maximum magnification and then running automatic lens calibration, measurement results remain accurate and consistent at all magnification levels.
Important
Full magnification calibration is only available on SP Fully Automatic Series machines. EV Semi-Automatic and C Manual series machines do not support this feature.
Prerequisites
- Prepare a standard square calibration target
- Ensure the calibration target surface is clean and the pattern is clearly visible
- Place the calibration target on the machine worktable
- Confirm the current magnification is set to the maximum value (e.g. 15400x)
Steps
Step 1: Three-Circle Calibration at Maximum Magnification
- Switch to maximum magnification (e.g. 15400x)
- Perform three-circle calibration at maximum magnification to establish the baseline pixel scale

Step 2: Set Up the Coordinate System
- Place the calibration target on the worktable
- Use the two circles shown in the image as reference points to establish a workpiece coordinate system

Step 3: Enter Automatic Lens Calibration
- Click Calibration in the menu bar
- Select Auto Lens Calibration
- Select Square Calibration Target

Step 4: Select Reference Circle and Calibrate
- In the calibration interface, select the corresponding reference circle
- Click the Calibrate button
- The software will automatically complete the full magnification calibration

Verification
After calibration completes, the pixel scale for all magnifications has been calibrated. The calibration parameters for each magnification can be viewed in the relevant interface.
Notes
- Full magnification calibration must be performed after completing three-circle calibration at maximum magnification and establishing the coordinate system
- The calibration target type should match the selected option (square calibration target for square patterns)
- If significant measurement deviations persist across magnifications, it is recommended to re-run the full calibration process
- Calibration must be redone after replacing the lens or any optical components
