Set Single Tolerance

Overview

Set Single Tolerance allows you to assign a nominal value with upper and lower tolerance bounds to a specific attribute of an element in the Data Area (e.g., length, diameter, or angle). The software automatically determines whether the measured value falls within the tolerance range and indicates the status through font color.

Steps

Step 1: Select an Element

In the Data Area, select any element.

Step 2: Double-Click the Attribute

In the Data Area grid, double-click the attribute of the element that needs tolerance settings, such as length, diameter, or angle.

Step 3: Enter Tolerance Values

In the dialog that appears, enter the nominal value, upper tolerance, and lower tolerance.

Step 4: Apply the Tolerance

Click OK to apply the tolerance. The font color of the element in the Data Area will change to indicate the status:

  • Blue means the measured value is within the tolerance range
  • Red means the measured value is outside the tolerance range

Notes

  • Tolerances can only be set for attributes of existing elements
  • The nominal value is the target ideal value; the upper and lower tolerances define the permissible deviation range
  • Blue text indicates a pass (within tolerance), and red text indicates a fail (out of tolerance)
  • Setting tolerances makes it easy to quickly judge whether measurement results meet accuracy requirements
