Concentric Circle
Overview
The concentric circle feature generates a circle concentric to an existing circle element. You can determine the radius by clicking directly in the Vision Area or Geometry Area, or by right-clicking to enter a specific radius value.
Steps
Step 1: Click the Function Button
Click the Concentric Circle function in the Edit menu.
Note
The concentric circle function is accessed from the Edit menu rather than the Measurement Bar.
Step 2: Select a Circle Element
In the Vision Area or Geometry Area, select a circle element as the reference circle.
Step 3: Generate the Concentric Circle
After selecting the reference circle, you can determine the radius in one of two ways:
- Method 1 (Direct Click): Click directly at the desired position in the Vision Area or Geometry Area — the software determines the radius based on the click position
- Method 2 (Enter Radius): Right-click to open a dialog and enter the radius value
The software will generate the corresponding concentric circle element.
Notes
- A circle element must be selected as the reference
- Method 1 is ideal for quick positioning; Method 2 is suitable when a precise radius is required
- The generated concentric circle can be used in subsequent element construction and tolerance analysis
