Line Midpoint
Overview
The line midpoint feature obtains the midpoint position of an existing line and generates a corresponding point element. This feature works exclusively with line elements.
Steps
Step 1: Click the Function Button
In the Measurement Bar, click the Line Midpoint button.
Step 2: Select a Line Element
In the Vision Area or Geometry Area, click an existing line element.
Important
This feature only works with line elements. It cannot be used on circles, arcs, or other element types.
Step 3: Generate the Midpoint
After clicking the line element, the software will automatically generate a point element at its midpoint.
Use Cases
- When a midpoint is needed for subsequent measurements or constructions
- As a reference point for establishing a coordinate system
- For center positioning of symmetric workpieces
Notes
- Only supports line elements; selecting other element types has no effect
- The generated midpoint can be used in subsequent element construction and tolerance analysis
