Enable the Laser Function

The laser measurement function in Easson2D must first be enabled in the software configuration and manufacturer settings, and then the Laser Measurement function must be added to the measurement operation area.

After completing the setup and restarting Easson2D, you can open the laser point acquisition module through the Laser Measurement button in the measurement operation area for subsequent laser measurement operations.

The laser function is a machine configuration item and usually only needs to be set once during machine installation or initial enabling.

1. Modify the Laser Function Configuration

Open the Easson2D installation directory and go to:

Machine/MachineApp.ini

Find the following two parameters:

IsLaserEnabled
LaserType

Set both to:

1

That is:

IsLaserEnabled=1
LaserType=1

Save the configuration file.

2. Open the Manufacturer Settings

Start Easson2D and enter the machine supplier authorization password.

Go to:

Manufacturer Settings

Manufacturer settings are used to configure the machine hardware and some advanced functions.

3. Set the Laser Controller

In the manufacturer settings, find the laser controller option.

Set the laser controller to:

Es-Laser

Exit the manufacturer settings when finished.

4. Enter the Window Layout Editing Mode

In the Easson2D main interface, click:

View → Window Layout → Edit

to enter the window layout editing state.

5. Add the Laser Measurement Function

In the measurement operation area, find an unused blank button.

Click the blank button and select:

Laser Measurement

from the function list.

After configuration, this position serves as the entry point for the laser measurement function.

6. Save the Window Layout

After adding, click:

View → Window Layout → Save

to save the current window layout.

7. Restart Easson2D

Close Easson2D and restart the software.

After restarting, you can see the added:

Laser Measurement

button in the measurement operation area.

8. Open the Laser Point Acquisition Module

Click:

Laser Measurement

in the measurement operation area.

This opens the laser point acquisition module.

After completing the above setup, you can proceed with subsequent laser measurement and point acquisition operations.

Setup Workflow

When enabling the laser function for the first time, complete the following steps in order:

Open Machine/MachineApp.ini → Set IsLaserEnabled=1 → Set LaserType=1 → Enter the supplier authorization password → Open the manufacturer settings → Select Es-Laser for the laser controller → View → Window Layout → Edit → Select Laser Measurement on a blank button → View → Window Layout → Save → Close and restart Easson2D → Click Laser Measurement to open the point acquisition module

Notes

If the Laser Measurement button does not appear after restarting Easson2D, check the following in order:

• Whether the laser function parameters in MachineApp.ini were saved correctly
• Whether the laser controller is set to Es-Laser
• Whether Laser Measurement has been added to the measurement operation area
• Whether the modified window layout has been saved

After confirming that all the above settings are correct, restart the software again.
