View and Manage Measurement Data

After enabling the measurement database, Easson2D automatically saves measurement results to the database.

You can use EsBrowser to view and manage the historical measurement data that has been saved. EsBrowser is mainly responsible for data browsing, filtering, exporting, and deletion. It does not participate in Easson2D's automatic writing.

Open the Database

In Easson2D, click:

Database

to launch the EsBrowser database browsing tool.

EsBrowser opens the measurement database currently used by Easson2D and displays the saved historical measurement records.

View Historical Measurement Data

EsBrowser can view the measurement results saved in the database.

Each measurement element is saved as an independent record, for example:

  • Circle
  • Distance
  • Angle
  • Line
  • Other measurement elements

After selecting a record, you can further view the specific measurement attributes and results contained in that element.

For example, a circle element may include:

  • Diameter
  • Center X
  • Center Y

and also display the corresponding standard value, tolerance, error, and judgment result.

Query and Filter

When many measurement records have accumulated in the database, you can use EsBrowser's query and filter functions to quickly find the data you need.

You can view by different conditions, such as:

  • Date
  • Element type
  • Element name
  • Judgment result

This allows you to quickly find data for a certain day, a certain type of measurement element, or a certain class of measurement results.

View Measurement Images

If image saving is enabled in the "Database Settings", you can also view the corresponding measurement images when selecting a measurement record.

The images may include:

  • Image area result images
  • Geometry area images
  • Navigation images

The image files are associated with the measurement records in the database, so you can confirm the measurement image at that time while viewing historical data.

Modify Tolerances

EsBrowser supports resetting tolerances for historical measurement records.

After modifying:

  • Standard value
  • Upper tolerance
  • Lower tolerance

the software recalculates the related:

  • Out-of-tolerance status
  • Error
  • Judgment result

This is suitable for cases where historical data needs to be rechecked according to new tolerance requirements after measurement.

Delete Measurement Records

For historical data that is no longer needed, you can delete it in EsBrowser.

Supported operations:

  • Delete a single record
  • Batch delete by date range

For example, you can delete historical measurement data by:

  • A specific day
  • A specific month
  • A custom date range

Note that:

When a database record is deleted, the corresponding JPEG image files are not deleted automatically.

Therefore, if measurement images are saved in large quantities over a long period, you should also pay attention to the hard disk space used by the image directory.

Export Measurement Data

EsBrowser supports exporting the measurement results from the database to:

  • Excel
  • CSV

This is convenient for further organizing and analyzing the data, or for use by other software.

Excel export can also include the related measurement images.

Relationship between Easson2D and EsBrowser

This can be simply understood as:

Easson2D → responsible for measuring and automatically saving data

EsBrowser → responsible for viewing, filtering, managing, and exporting historical data

Therefore, during daily measurement, you do not need to keep EsBrowser open.

When you need to find historical records, check images, or export measurement data, open the database browser at that time.

Basic Workflow

Open EsBrowser → Query the needed measurement records → Select an element to view the detailed measurement data → View images as needed → Modify tolerances, delete, or export data

Through EsBrowser, you can centrally manage the measurement results accumulated by Easson2D over a long period.
