Export Excel
Overview
Easson2D supports exporting measurement results to Excel, and allows choosing between the default report format or custom Excel files based on different usage scenarios. Users can configure output content, starting cell, arrangement direction, and pass/fail determination to meet various inspection report requirements.
Output Methods
Easson2D provides three main Excel output methods:
Default Format
Uses Easson2D's built-in standard Excel report format, with no need to prepare or load any Excel document in advance. Users only need to select the data content to output, and the measurement report can be generated quickly. Suitable for daily inspection and cases where no special report layout is required.
Excel Template
Users can load an existing Excel template and write measurement results to specified positions in the template. Suitable for cases where the company already has fixed inspection reports, customer reports, or standard table formats.
Excel Workbook
Users can directly select an existing Excel workbook and write measurement results to specified positions. Suitable for cases where data needs to be appended to or saved in an existing spreadsheet.
Output Direction
When using an Excel template or workbook, you can choose:
- By Row
- By Column
And control the specific write position in Excel by setting the starting cell.
For example, you can specify:
- Item names starting from
A5 - Measurement data starting from
B5 - Nominal values starting from
C5 - Pass/fail results starting from
D5
The software writes the measurement results sequentially from the specified position, following the set direction.
Output Contents
Users can select the following content to output based on report requirements:
- Item name
- Measurement data
- Nominal value
- Standard tolerance
- Upper tolerance
- Lower tolerance
- Measurement error
- Pass/fail result
- Out-of-tolerance status
For measurement items with tolerances, nominal values, tolerances, errors, and pass/fail results can all be output together, making it easy to produce a complete inspection report.
Pass/Fail Determination
The report can output pass/fail results for measurement items, which can be represented in text, for example:
OK: PassNG: Fail
This allows the exported Excel file to directly show whether each measurement item meets the specified tolerance requirements.
Auto Wrap Row or Column
When using a custom Excel format, you can also configure data to automatically wrap to a new row or column. For example, after a specified number of measurement items have been output in one row, the software can automatically switch to the next row to continue, arranging large amounts of measurement data within a preset area automatically.
Basic Workflow
- After selecting the data to export, click the Send to Excel button in the navigation bar
- Choose Default Format, Excel Template, or Excel Workbook
- If using a template or workbook, select the corresponding file
- Select the measurement content to output
- Set the output direction and starting cell as needed
- Configure the pass/fail determination method and auto wrap rules
- Confirm to generate the Excel report
If you only want to quickly generate a measurement report, you can directly use the Default Format; if you need to conform to a report layout specified by your company or customer, you can use an Excel Template or Workbook for custom output.
