Open the Navigation Feature
The smart navigation feature in Easson2D requires enabling the navigation camera in vendor settings and adding the "Navigation" function to the software's measurement operation area.
After completing the setup and saving the window layout, restart Easson2D to see the navigation area image in the software interface.
Smart navigation is usually configured once during equipment installation or initial setup. Accessing vendor settings requires the corresponding equipment vendor permissions.
1. Access Vendor Settings
First, obtain the equipment vendor permissions and open Easson2D's Vendor Settings.
Vendor settings contain configuration options for device hardware, cameras, and certain advanced features.
2. Enable Synchronized Navigation
In vendor settings, select from the navigation bar:
DirectShow Filters
Then locate the checkbox on the right side of the window and check:
Synchronized Navigation
This option enables the USB navigation camera required for smart navigation.
After completing this, exit vendor settings.
3. Enter Window Layout Edit Mode
In the Easson2D main interface, click:
View → Window Layout → Edit
to enter window layout edit mode.
In this mode, you can modify the function buttons displayed in the measurement operation area.
4. Add the Navigation Function
Find an unused blank button in the measurement operation area.
Click the blank button and select from the available functions:
Navigation
After configuring, this position serves as the entry point for the smart navigation feature.
If there is no suitable blank position in the current measurement operation area, you can choose another unused position based on the actual interface layout.
5. Save the Window Layout
After adding the navigation function, click:
View → Window Layout → Save
to save the current window layout.
After saving, Easson2D remembers the position of the navigation function in the operation area.
6. Restart Easson2D
Close and restart Easson2D.
After restarting, you can see the navigation area image for smart navigation.
The navigation area displays the stage image captured by the USB wide-field camera, serving as an overall view of the device for quickly locating workpieces and target measurement areas later.
Setup Workflow
When enabling smart navigation for the first time, you can complete the following steps in order:
Obtain vendor permissions → Open vendor settings → DirectShow Filters → Check "Synchronized Navigation" → View → Window Layout → Edit → Select "Navigation" on a blank button → View → Window Layout → Save → Restart the software
After completing the above setup, the smart navigation feature will display normally.
Next Steps
After successfully opening the navigation feature, if the navigation camera is being installed for the first time, you need to calibrate the navigation camera so that positions in the navigation image correspond correctly to the device's actual XY movement positions.
After calibration, you can directly click a target position in the navigation image to have the device quickly move to the corresponding area.
